Artist Trading Cards

I recently discovered the concept of artist trading cards (ATCs) through a call out on Instagram. An artist trading card is a small ‘card’ that is an original piece by an artist, designed to swap with other to collect multiple pieces. I liked the idea of sending a physical piece of art work through the post rather than just curating something for the digital space.

I’ve made 2 cards so far with collage as the main medium and have re-used some cyanotype and mark-making prints from my previous projects. I also finally got around to using the magazines from the estate agents that I’d kept for collaging to re-work into these pieces!
