Claire Eggleshaw Redoutet

Multidisciplinary artist interested in tactile textures, film photography, mark and sound making.

Claire is an English and French multidisciplinary artist, currently living in Oxfordshire.

She works in different visual and audio mediums to explore textures, complex emotions and documenting her environments.

The choice of medium she uses can often be an intuitive decision, driven by its accessibility and emotional resonance in the moment. Claire uses process-based approaches to her work where the act of making art is therapeutic and self-soothing. This is seen through bold mark making, experimenting with textures or manipulating film photography in a way that changes the outcome organically.

Claire is not afraid to repurpose art work and transform them into something new, believing that reworking pieces over time can be transformative for new ideas. She’s also curious and playful in documenting the spaces around her with found objects and recordings of soundscapes.

Recently she’s been working with samplers and synthesizers to create sounds.
